Born and raised in Singapore, Chef Jerry Heng found his passion for cooking through years of part-time work in food and hospitality, beginning at just sixteen. After completing his national service, he discovered the Culinary Institute of America (Singapore) graduating in 2022.

Inspired by Chef Grant Achatz’s story on Netflix’s Chef’s Table, Jerry moved to Chicago. He began his externship at Roister in May 2022 as a Commis and, through dedication and curiosity, rose to Senior Chef de Partie over two years. In 2024, Jerry joined PERILLA Fare as Chef Tournant, where his passion for learning new cuisines and techniques flourished.

Outside of the kitchen, you can find Jerry on the rock climbing wall, sending problems as passionately as he sends plates.
